PE & Sport Premium

At Eversley Primary School, our PE lessons focus on developing the whole child. We use a ‘Heads, Hearts, Hands’ model, otherwise known as ‘Thinking Me, Social Me and Physical Me’. This encourages children to not only practice and develop their skills and techniques (Hand/Physical Me), but also think about the tactics and analysis involved in sport (Heads/Thinking Me) and the emotional, cooperative aspects (Hearts/Social Me).

In EYFS, children work towards the Early Learning Goals to develop their skills both through Fine Motor Skills and Gross Motor Skills.

In KS1, PE lessons for pupils at EPS are split into the 3 following areas:

  • Games
  • Dance
  • Gymnastics

In KS2, PE lessons for pupils at EPS are split into the 6 following areas:

  • Games (Invasion, Net and Wall, Striking and Fielding)
  • Dance
  • Gymnastics
  • Athletics
  • Outdoor Adventurous Activity (OAA)
  • Swimming (during Y5).

We offer a range of extra-curricular clubs at EPS and our pupils participate in a wide range of competitive fixtures across Enfield during their time here. This includes: Netball, Football, Tag Rugby, Cross Country Running, Dance, Cricket.
